What punter was laying odds? Punters are place kickers who grew bigger. Any better gig in the NFL? Maybe the guy who picks what the cheerleaders wear.

Punters who lay the odds are in effect acting as a bookmaker.

I want to take a moment to thank the bitter Pistons' fan for allowing me the opportunity to earn my "About..." name. There is a Van Halen song off their "Balance" album that starts out with Sammy Hagar shouting "Light it up!".....which is about to happen. I try and give props to one of the classiest individuals in an NBA that's loaded with knuckleheads and sure enough, one comes out of the woodwork to make comments such as yours.

Let me first start off by declaring that I have absolutely no allegience to the Lakers. I'm from Portland, Oregon so that should clear it up right there. Our team here has been through hell the last several years so I think I'm a bit of an expert on knowing when somebody has class to go along with their talent, and when to know if a boner is masqerading as a basketball player. I recall not so long ago when the aforementioned Rasheed Wallace first showed up in Detroit. You'd have thought he was the second coming of Christ by the way Detroit fans put him up. All you saw on chat boards was how stupid Portland was at getting rid of him. True, the Pistons won a championship with him. Detroit fans used that a verification that the Trailblazers made a huge mistake. Rasheed had come to hoist up many banners for years to come. We just sat back and smiled. Portland fans knew how quickly he would wear out his welcome...and he has. Detroit fans are just now finding out what Portland has known for years.

Now, if you'd read any of my other postings you'd have known how much disdain I have for the NBA as a whole. But, judging by your lack of command of the english language, and lack of much formal schooling beyond the 8th grade (your writing and grammar is atrocious) I can certainly see how you'd go off half-cocked. Be informed. Take the time to study what you're trying to spout off about. It's obvious that your response was an "in the heat of the moment" commentary. Part of what I said about Ray Allen is that he continued to get better as the playoffs went along. Yes, he started slow, but I was speaking of the finals only and not the other series. Paul Pierce is the finals' MVP. Not of the playoffs, but the finals. His little show regarding his "injured" knee? I'm sorry but that sort of display is not befitting an MVP.

I've used some pretty big words in this posting. If you aren't quite able to understand them I suggest that you look them up in the dictionary, provided you know how to use one. And before you start calling people names you should do your research before sounding like the name you are throwing around. Ring, ring. Hello Kettle? This is Pot. You're black!

idiot. btw kg carried them in the detroit series and was the best player on the court for the cavs and atlanta series. yeah he played better than bron bron did! so he didn't have a great lakers series. if he wasn't playing so well in the first three series, they wouldn't have gone on to the championship. to say he is an average player? he's the second best power forward!

overrated by ass. gasol is overrated.
the whole soft western conference is overrated.

i'm a detroit fan, but have been living in memphis for years. my god is gasol a piece of crap. what kevin has - that passion for the game is real. its not fake. and it motivates his team - who by the way aren't winning on offense but on defense.

if you watch that houston/celtics game early in the year you will know the kind of motivation he gives his teammates. paul piece literally jumped on kg's back to show his gratitude. defense wins champions!

oh btw, kg restructured his contract in minny. he also signed for less money with boston and will earn less than tim duncan, way less next year. so ppl saying his salary was the reason minny lost. no the reason why minny lost is no one wants to play for minny! his teams were either too good for the lottery and too effin cold for ppl to sign on! if anything, getting to the playoffs for eight straight years in a tough conference is overachieving. the best player he's played with after steph marbury was sam cassell! yeah good luck winning with that crap!

again as a detroit fan - if anyone is overrated, its sheed. kg has loads of talent. sheed should know. kg burned him in the playoffs this year.

as for allen, well ray allen sucked balls in atlanta and especially clevelend and only started playing well a month into the playoffs. if he had shown up earlier, the celtics wouldn't have been taken to game 7s twice! kg carried his sorry ass. i love ray allen, but he showed up to the party way late. and his sorry ass defense on joe johnson was pathetic.

paul pierce was the true mvp of the lakers series. allen hit some nice shots, but the most meaningful were by paul because his shots either gave the c's momentum or the lead.

with that said, pistons will beat these celtics next year! detroit baaaaaaaaaasketball!!!

your just a sore laker fan. detroit would have beaten your soft ass team too! kg being overrated> lol my ass. name me any laker fan who things gasol is better than kg? if you had kg, you would have won! he would have told that stupid pot smoking lamar odom to play defense or else. he would have inspired the bench and given kobe a piece of his mind.
